NAIROBI– Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed arrived in Nairobi late Sunday for a two-day visit to kenya at the invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Abiy is accompanied by Foreign Minister Workineh Gebeyehu, Agriculture Minister Shiferaw Shigute, Minister in charge of the Government Communication Affairs Office (GCAO) Ahmed Shide and the President of Orormia Regional State Lema Megerssa.
Prime Minister Abiy and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta will discuss on bilateral and issues of common concern during the visit. Abiy is also expected to visit various development projects in the country.
The visit to Kenya is the third overseas trip for Abiy since he took office last month, following visits to Djibouti and Sudan, which like Kenya share a common border with Ethiopia.
During his visit to both countries the Premier discussed with the leaders ways of further consolidating existing ties.
