Embu county commissioner Amos Gathecha on Thursday led residents in demolishing a three-storied building used to brew illicit drink Machore.
A National Youth Service caterpillar truck was used to help pull down the building at at Ena Village in Embu East subcounty.
Gathecha said the building’s owner Njeru Kathambo has adamantly declined to stop brewing the drink after numerous orders by the police and the provincial administration.
He said the war on illicit brews will not be relented and that notorious brewers will be dealt with firmly.
Gathecha warned residents against brewing illicit drinks.
