Educate state officials on public relations

It seems that most institutions in Kenya lack a strong public relations policy.

I wrote to Nema on the invasion of the Ruaka river, wrote to Kenya Red Cross on a disaster waiting to happen at Kimende trading centre, to the Kenya Forest Service on the wanton destruction of Kinale Forest, to KRA on a delayed registration book and to the County Director of Education on illegal tuitions complete with copies of receipts and an M-pesa number.

I never received any response. I then e-mailed a complaint to the Public Editor of Nation Newspapers, who promptly wrote back, to my great relief.

This made me realise that the others had ignored my mails. I think a campaign to educate responsible persons is required.
