Westlands MP Timothy Wanyonyi yesterday urged elected leaders to stop the debate on scraping the CDF fund.
“The CDF Act 2013 needs to be aligned with the constitution with regard to its overall implementation. However, the suggestion that CDF should be scrapped is unacceptable and lacks foresight,” he said.
Wanyonyi spoke at Highridge Girls Secondary School where he opened a new dormitory and the principal’s house.
He said the dormitory will house 100 students.
The dormitory and principal’s house were put up using the Westlands CDF.
Initially, the institution was a mixed school, but now only admits girls.
