Multiple award-winning gospel singer Owen Mwatia popularly known as Daddy Owen celebrated his decade-long career in the music industry in style.
In a colourful event held at the Carnivore Grounds on Sunday, the Mbona hit maker hosted thousands of guests as he toasted to yet another milestone. Artistes from both the secular and gospel fronts, comedians and actors also showed up in large numbers to show support for the MAMA award winner. Owen also chose the iconic day in his life as an artiste to officially launch his fifth studio album titled Vanity.
In the 11-track album, the singer has featured a number of artistes including Danny Gift in the hit single Kazi Ya Msalaba, Uganda’s Coopy Bly (Chocolata), Papa Dennis (Foundation), Regan Sarkozy (Wewe Ni Mungu) and 24 Elders in Okokroko. Apart from the title track, other songs in the new album are Tazama, Umekwama, Mungu Yupo, Jumapili and Am Blessed.
He gave an energetic performance and was joined by a number of artistes including Danco, Ole Willy, Mr. Lee, Rufftone and Allan Aaron.
