This Year’s Kenya Communications Sports Organization (KECOSO) games will be staged in Kakamega County in August.
The annual tournament, which is in its 39th edition, brings together sporting teams from the parastatals and departments in the ministries of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) as well as Transport.
Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, who hosted a delegation of the members of the KECOSO governing council led by the Chairman, Cyril Wayong’o on Wednesday, said his administration had renovated and upgraded Bukhungu stadium in a bid to promote sporting activities.
Wayong’o said the participants will be involved in 12 sporting disciplines where soccer and athletics will be staged at Bukhungu while a Golf extravaganza will take place at Kakamega Golf club.
The other disciplines include basketball, volley ball, darts, net ball as well as pool table game.
