Laikipia county Health executive Dr David Njoroge has urged MPs to consult his department before setting up health facilities.
Njoroge said some MPs build health facilities without consulting, leaving some clinics underutilised.
He was speaking during the handing over of Kanyoni dispensary to the county government in Nanyuki town on Wednesday.
Njoroge said ambulances bought by the county government will be used to ferry patients from health facilities in interior areas.
“We shall also ensure all dispensaries have a maternity ward and living quarters for staff. Meanwhile, we have set aside beds for alcohol addicts in major health facilities,” he said.
