Cattle rustlers and bandits terrorizing residents put on notice

The Government will deal ruthlessly with criminals terrorizing residents along the Laikipia �Baringo border.

Nyahururu Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), Ms Flora Morowa condemned the rising insecurity caused by cattle rustling terming the acts as retrogressive.

Ms. Morowa was speaking Thursday at Nyahururu stadium in Laikipia West during this year’s Madaraka Day celebrations. We will not seat and watch as these criminals terrorize innocent residents. The government is going to deal with the menace.

She assured residents of security, adding that the shoot to kill order that was directed by the government will be effected immediately.

Let them not take this order lightly because from now our security officers who are carrying a security operation in the region will not spare anyone found having an illegal gun, she warned.

The most affected areas, include Matwiku, Kamwenje, Rubere and Maua in the region.
