Police in Magarini Sub County are investigating an incident in which three armed gangsters raided a shop and gunned down the owner, injured another person and escaped with an unknown amount of money.
Confirming the Sunday incident, Magarini Sub County deputy County Commissioner Simon Lokorio said the gangsters attacked the businessman at Sosoni village, Marafa ward.
Lokorio said the injured person was rushed to Malindi sub county hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Speaking to the press on telephone Monday, Lokorio said the thugs escaped using a probox after the attack and police were pursuing them.
He also appealed to area residents with useful information to report to police to help in arresting the suspects.
He said the body of the business man has been taken to Malindi sub county hospital mortuary.
