Kericho County Police Commandant Rose Muchuma has called on aspirants for the Senate seat to hold peaceful campaigns.

Muchuma asked the aspirants to always liaise with the police so that law and order is adhered to during the campaigns.

Talking to KNA in her office Saturday, the commandant asked the politicians to notify the area Officer Commanding Station (OCS) for deployment of

police officers to guarantee security at the campaign rallies.

Currently, aspirants from the Jubilee Party are busy traversing the county soliciting for votes from the wananchi.

The Jubilee nominations will be held on January 16th while the by-election is scheduled for March 7th 2016.

The major contestants on the Jubilee ticket are former Roads Minister Franklin Bett and Magerer Lang’at. The other aspirants are Aaron

Cheruiyot, Joel Kirui and Sammy Chepkwony.

A KNA survey revealed that all the campaign rallies have been peaceful across the county.
