US President Barrack Obama should give Kenya more resources to fight al Shabaab, Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi said yesterday.
“I expect America to give us more technical support, intelligence-gathering devices, armoured vehicles and training to help us tackle al Shabaab,” he said.
The governor was speaking at Togonye trading centre after touring development projects in Murinduko ward, Mwea constituency.
Ndathi said Kenya should also be given drones and warplanes to hit all Shabaab strongholds with precision.
The governor said terrorists initially targeted America but Kenya got caught up in the war.
He said hundreds have been killed in the war.
Ndathi said he also expects America to support the national economy by giving the 47 counties grants and not loans.
