The government has been faulted over the list of beneficiaries in the recent compensation of the Internally Displaced Persons.
Speaking in Naivasha on Thursday, Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi said some deserving cases were omitted from the records.
He cited the Integrated Displaced Persons whom he claimed the government “ignored” when coming up with the register of those to be compensated.
He warned the regime against stocking up ethnic animosity through a misguided IDP compensation and resettlement policy.
“I am asking the government to do what is right and treat every Kenyan equally. There should never be special IDPs where some get between Sh10,000 and Sh40,000, while others get Sh400,000 plus resettlement,” said Mr Mudavadi.
The ANC party leader described Naivasha as having been an epicentre of the post-election violence where many people were killed and even more displaced.
The ANC party leader was part of the National Dialogue team under Kofi Annan that ended the violence and brought the National Accord that gave birth to the Grand Coalition Government.
