Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria has lost a case challenging his ouster. He will now face a committee formed by the Senate to look into the impeachment petition made by members of the Murang’a County Assembly.
High Court Judge Justice Joseph Onguyo on Tuesday ruled that the embattled governor will not suffer prejudice.
Mr Wa Iria is expected to appear before the Senate this Wednesday and Thursday. He will face the team chaired by Kitui Senator David Musila.
The committee will look into more than 20 accusations levelled against the governor and then present its recommendations to the House.
