Naomi Wamboe launches two music videos


Singer, songwriter and entertainer, Naomi Wamboe has been on the path to re-branding herself and her music since her return from the US early this year.

You may remember her from back in 2008 when she did a collabo with Mejja and Sheen titled Bro wa “Chali Yangu”.

She did a three-video DVD launch at Ebony Lounge on November 19, on a night when industry notables came out in support including Collo, Head Bangerz, Shappaman, her radio presenter sister Angela Wambui, among others.


The tracks on the DVD include “Niaje”, her plight against poverty track which she features Owuor Arunga. The two have been working together under a project for One Vibe Africa, an organisation with the slogan Music to Empower Youth based in Kisumu.

The song and video were released earlier this year and is on her Youtube Vevo page. Her other track “No Winter in Africa” is more fun/party song about appreciating what we have on this continent and embracing the African atmosphere.

The video was produced by Swahili Pictures and she performed the song live with playback as it debuted.

The other video “Addicted (Nyama Choma)” is yet another dance track The video was produced by one of the most sort producers in eastern Africa, Enos Olik.

Wamboe’s been shuttling between the US and Kenya all her life, but has been in the US for the most part in recent years pursuing her degree. She now has a Bachelors in Business with a Minor in Music and is eager to set her musical base in Kenya.

While in America, she performed at BET’s Wild Out Wednesday twice, winning the award of all-star performer on the first appearance.
