After a one-year stint as a solo artiste, former tusker project fame contestant, Festus Kamau alias Fess has called it a day and re joined his former band, Songoma.

“I fromed this band with my friends Enock Mwachari and Abishai Maxman band three years ago before I got a chance to try my luck at the TPF show,” he says.

This comes after his one-year contract with Ennovator music studio came to an end early this year.

The band has already release one song “Party kwa Nduthi”, a track they launched last weekend where they got a chance to perform before their fans.

“The song is being received well by fans online even as we prepare to distribute it to various radio stations,” he adds.

A video of the song will be shot in December. This will be the second video for Fess after releasing “Top of the World” last year in collaboration with rapper Xtatic.

Fess first broke into the public eye as one of the 15 contestants who battled it out for the Tusker Project Fame 6 crown two years ago which was eventually won by Burundian Hope Ikaroze.
