Denmark’s Crown Princess meets Kenyan judge as she tours new ICC premises

A Kenyan judge at the International Criminal Court, Joyce Aluoch, met with Denmark’s Princess Mary when the Crown Princess visited the new premises of the court in The Hague.

On Thursday, Crown Princess Mary met ICC officials including Judge Aluoch, who is the ICC’s first vice-president, ICC Registrar Herman von Hebel and Deputy Prosecutor James Stewart during her tour.

The ICC will move to a new permanent building on the van Alkemadelaan/Oude Waalsdorperweg in The Hague, Netherlands.

In 2010, the Danish firm Schmidt Hammer Lassen was selected to design the new premises.

Construction work started on April 16, 2013 and will be completed shortly, when the premises will be ready for use.
