The second edition of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) Fans Fun Day gets underway at the Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi Saturday morning.
This event will involve among other events, a seven-aside-football-tournament consisting 12 teams made up of regular football supporters on the top flight league.
The theme for this year’s event is Zero Tolerance on Hooliganism according to the event’s organiser Jeff Kinyanjui. He said: “The whole idea is to have fans in a social setting, enjoying themselves while at the same time discussing issues affecting local football and hooliganism is part of this,” he said.
The day-long function has received support from the Kenyan Premier League secretariat with the competition’s CEO Jack Oguda set to grace this year’s event.
There will also be an exhibition match between Kenya Referees FC and KPL Legends.
Hippos FC, Simbas, Mafisi, Biblas, Soka, Impalas, Swara, Nyati, Tigers, Rhinos, Ndovu, Kenya Sport Journalists FC.
Oguda will launch the tournament officially at 9am.
