Preparations for the swearing in Anne Waiguru as the second governor of Kirinyaga County on Monday are in top gear.
The organising committee through its chairman Joe Muriuki said the function to be held at the Kirinyaga University grounds in Kutus town will spend about Sh5 million.
He said members of the public will be expected to have taken their seats by 8.30am while the actual inauguration ceremony will start at 9am.
Muriuki who is also the county secretary said the venue of the ceremony had been reached after various considerations especially matters to do with security.
As the committee on assumption of office of the governor mandated to carry the preparations, we want to welcome area residents and other guests from outside the county to this auspicious occasion, where the outgoing governor Joseph Ndathi is expected to attend,” he said.
The twelve man committee while briefing the media at the venue on Saturday said everything was moving on as planned for the occasion.
