Ntutu promises to Plan well with Mara taxes

A Narok gubernatorial candidate has accused Governor Samuel Tunai of squandering revenue generated from Maasai Mara game reserve.

Patrick Ntutu, the Narok West MP who is eying the gubernatorial seat said the county has received over Sh.50 billion from both the National government kit and revenue collected from the Maasai Mara yet no tangible projects have been implemented in the area.

He was speaking at Ololulunga trading center yesterday where he promised to use the Maasai Mara revenue to improve the livelihood of residents by rehabilitating infrastructure, social amenities, like schools and health facilities and provision of water

The Chama Cha Maashinani ticket hopeful disputed claims that the county is a hotspot of violence noting that people in the area were determined to vote wisely and send home corrupt leaders.

He asked IEBC to investigate cases of voter bribery allegedly involving some politicians who were dishing out money to woo the voters.

Senatorial Candidate Ledama Ole Kina promised to ensure accountability and transparency of public funds.
