A man died on the spot when a vehicle he was driving rammed into a trailer on the busy Mombasa- Nairobi Highway Sunday.
The accident occurred at Ngomani area in Mukaa Sub County when the Prado hit the lorry as it joined the busy highway.
Officer commanding Mukaa Sub-County Police Division (OCPD) Mr. Charles Muthui confirmed the accident saying careless driving was to blame.
The driver of the Prado was driving from a feeder road when he drove into the busy highway and hit the lorry that was headed for Nairobi from Mombasa.
I urge all motorists to observe traffic rules to avoid senseless accidents which would be prevented, Muthui told KNA on phone.
He added that the body was removed to Emali Nursing Home Mortuary while the wrecked vehicles were towed to Sultan Hamud Police station pending investigations.
