Athletes agents Doctor Rosa and his son Federico are currently being grilled by anti-narcotics officers at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) headquarters in Nairobi.
The two from Rosa Associati were brought to the headquarters at 1.30pm.
Sources told the Nation that the two had their passports taken on Friday before being summoned to DCI headquarters on Monday.
“The issue we are handling is sensitive…I am just doing my work so let me finish with them…then you can talk to them,” said the officer who declined to give his name.
“We have not arrested them as such but we just want to interrogate them,” he added.
The officer did not say whether the two were summoned over their work permits, since they hail from Italy, or doping issues.
Rosa Associati stable handles several top athletes from Kenya.
Several of their athletes have been banned after failing dope tests They include marathoner Rita Jeptoo, who was suspended in 2014 and Matthew Kisorio, who finished his ban in July last year.
Jeptoo was also summoned to the DCI offices.
Her case will be heard and determined on Thursday this week.
Also suspended from the stable last year is 2014 World Relay 4×800 silver medallist Agatha Jeruto.
The interrogation of Rosa and his son comes two weeks after World 1500m champion Genzebe Dibaba’s coach Jama Aden was arrested in Spain.
