Kalonzo six-piece campaign strategy destroying NASA vote in Ukambani, say Kitui aspirants

Several aspirants under the Nasa umbrella in Kitui County have accused Wiper leader of compromising the opposition votes in Ukambani region following his resolve to only root for his party candidates ahead of the August 8th polls.

Led by Charity Ngilu’s gubernatorial running mate, Dr. Wathe Nzau, the aspirant demanded that the Nasa co-principal should either support all aspirants under the opposition coalition, or campaign for none to avoid aggrieving non-Wiper candidates and supporters.

The politicians, drawn from Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) and Narc parties which are affiliated to Nasa, also told the former Vice President to keep off local politics and concentrate on the battle for presidency.

Others were Narc MP Aspirants, Miltonic Mwendwa Kitute (Kitui East), Patrick Koki Musau (Mwingi West), Daudi Kitonga (Kitui Central) and CCU’s Kitui senatorial candidate, Elijah Muimi Kilonzi.

They were reacting to Kalonzo’s announcement on Monday that he will only drum up support for the various Wiper nominees in Ukambani to ensure that his party clinches a substantial number of elective seats come the general election.
